Solan Chiu 趙素蘭
Hong Kong-based ceramic artist Solan Chiu blends Eastern and Western influences in her imaginative works, including sculptures and installations. Her art has been showcased globally, with exhibitions at prestigious international venues. At Fine Art Asia 2024, the gallery will exhibit her famous Bing Ju Xing porcelain seals created in 2012, a series of new ceramic artworks, and her latest installation piece, "Wheel of Hope." This installation features her beautiful Chinese calligraphy, written while isolated for 21 days in a small hotel room in early 2022 during the COVID pandemic. The revolving wheel mimics the motion of Tibetan Buddhist prayer wheels, symbolizing positive intentions and bridging tradition with modernity.
